Good Stuff happening

Yesterday I whined about how weird the current mood is, with people not interested and new members not getting a proper chance to be integrated into our little guild. Well, just a couple hours later when I logged in there was full house. Our two new members where there and with another friend of our newest guildie we had a 5-man group going in an instant, so off we went for some badge-collecting.

First stop: Bota, as usual. With solid damage from Kalendros, our Frostmage and Paradiseí, our Feral Druid (new member #1) we took along our “youngest”, Zworle the warlock, and a priest-friend of him for the healing thingy. I could probably run bota blindfolded by now, so I wanted to do a fast paced speedrun. However it turned out that Zworle & his friend didn’t have a lot experience in instances and due to mostly PvP equipment weren’t in the best position for a speed run in the first place.

We tried to keep the speed up, but when we had the most terrible attempt on Boss #2 I ever experienced, resulting in a wipe (ok, that was my fault when I pulled adds. Don’t ask.) we slowed down and Kalendros, who has a warlock as an alt, took care of Zworle. We’ll have to work with him quite a bit. He’s a really nice guy, just he doesn’t seem to have any PvE experience – in full PvP gear (full like really full) he managed to do about 5 less DPS than me, and about 3/4 of my total damage. That seems quite impossible, but with some watching we figured out the glinches and in the next days/weeks will do some more runs with him to unleash his full evilish warlock potential.

Paradiseí, on the other hand, pretty much seems to know her PvE out of the pocket, and went through with a solid 600+dps. Kalendros well executed his usual ~800dps. Eventually we finished Bota in about an hour, what I think is still pretty decent.

After that run the healer was about to leave, but faith was with us and my brother signed in that very moment. Also Para left, but traded in her boyfriend’s rogue, so 5 we still were. With Tuku as my preferred healer (I love priests that don’t ever seem to go OOM) on board we could unleash full speed potential and decided to do slave pens, and to add ramparts afterwards. With some serious chain pulling and rage floating we finished slave pens in about 40 minutes, same for ramparts (for which Zworle left, whom our beloved Owl Jakkar replaced).

Most important: We had fun. We were joking, got us some badges and had three great, fun instance runs with fast creative pulls (ever had the healer run ahead and bring you a group of three?intentionally?), some healer-tanking and all in all only one death (except for that Bota-wipe I refuse to ever talk about again). After a couple days of weird guild-atmosphere this was really important for motivation, mood and pretty much everything. Good times.

Was really having some fun on these ‘old’ instances non-heroic while leveling my DK on beta. One night I ran with a well-geared 80 resto druid and 4 62-65 DKs. We were starting SP and the ’server will restart in 15 min’ message popped up. We thought what the heck, let’s see how far we can get. My 64 DK averaged almost 600dps and we chain-pulled, literally running through the whole instance. We got to the final boss’ room before the restart hit. After that we made several other sub-30 runs of Auchindon instances and boy was it fun! I really look forward to maining my DK in LK.
