Ulduar 10 Best-In-Slot Warrior Tanking Gear
No mumbling this time, here we go right at it, the best-in-slot tanking gear you can get from Ulduar 10.
- Head: Freya, Ironbark Faceguard
- Neck: Kologarn, Mark of the Unyielding
- Shoulders: T8, T8
- Cloak: Iron Council, Cloak of the Iron Council
- Chest: T8, T8
- Wrist: Flame Leviathan, Flamewatch Armguards
- Hands: T8, T8
- Waist: Razorscale, Stormtempered Girdle
- Legs: Auriaya, Archaeda’s Lost Legplates (Flame Leviathan Hard Mode: Gilded-Steel Legplates)
- Feet: Emblems of Valor, Src, Kyzoc’s Gorund Stompers
- Ring 1: Hodir, Signet of Winter
- Ring 2: Emblems of Valor, Seal of Impregnable Fortress
- Trinket 1: Yogg-Saron, Royal Seal of King Llane
- Trinket 2: Ignis, Furnace Stone
- Weapon: Thorim, Legacy of Thunder (Hodir Hard Mode: Shiver)
- Shield: Auriaya, Shieldwall of the Breaker (Hodir Hard Mode: The Boreal Guard)
And that’s about it.
Some interesting things to note:
- A lot of gear has a lot of Shield block rating on it
- A blue drop from Azjol Nerub is still an essential piece for EH gearing
- Almost every Best-In-Slot item on this list is shared with two other tanking classes
- There’s not a single pair of tanking boots available in Ulduar
Update: Tank like a girl just put up solid shopping list for 10-man raids, and somehow wowhead didn’t show me the Royal Seal of King Llane, which defnitely is BiS. So: Added.

Why wouldn’t the Bracers of Unholy Knight, with either a Regal Twilight Opal, or Solid Sky Sapphire be better in slot than the Flamewatch Guard? I’m not the expert though, and I’m assuming this for a paladin tank (but I don’t see any difference for the class in this scenario).

Well, first they drop in Naxx25, not in Ulduar10 :)
Save for that, the Ulduar bracers offer slightly more armor and have a slight advantage on either health or defensive stats (depending on what you gem them with).
If +Hit or extra +Parry is more important is up to you stats, of course.
Comparing iLvL 213 and iLvL 219 is a close call :)

Ya I realize it would be difficult and the site itself if Ulduar 10. Thanks for the info. Have you created an Ulduar 25 list?
